The Ukrainian-Slovakian film ‘Line' won the Golden Atlas award at the 18th International Film Festival in Arras, France as the press service of the State Film of Ukraine reported.

‘The jury headed by Christian Carion awarded the film with the Golden Atlas, the Grand Prix of the festival. Moreover, the young jury of the festival recognized the film as the best one’ the message said.

The International Film Festival is held in Arras since 2000. The European films earlier not represented in France are offered to participate in it. The festival lasts from 3 until 12 November.

The Ukrainian distribution of the film ‘Line’ directed by Peter Bebjak will start on November 16. The film was selected as the candidate from Slovakia for Oscar at the category ‘Best foreign film’. The film was shot in Ukraine, Slovakia and Czech Republic. The film depicts the events that preceded the membership of Slovakia in Schengen Area.
