The Ukrainian side stated its readiness to start reconstruction works on Stanytsia Luhanska bridge during the session of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG). This was reported by Darka Olifer, the press secretary of Ukraine’s representative Leonid Kuchma.
“The Ukrainian side informed OSCE representative Martin Sajdik about the implementation of the commitments on the demining of the bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska and its readiness to start the reconstruction starting from the first half of the day on August 22, 2019. Clearly, the roadblock of the occupied Donbas illegal military formations should be dismantled before the beginning of the restoration. The further dismantlement of the fortifications have to be simultaneous and clear from both sides of the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint area,” Olifer wrote on her Facebook page.
According to her, the agreement that all the works related to the bridge have to be held with close coordination with OSCE media was reached during the TCG session.
As we reported earlier, the bridge demining in Stanytsia Luhanska could not be started due to the lack of security guarantee among the militants.
