Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov excludes the possibility of opening fire to kill in case of a breakthrough of the Ukrainian border by illegal migrants who are on the border of Poland with Belarus as Ukrainian News reported.

“We cannot open fire to kill. This is strictly prohibited,” he said.

According to him, the Ukrainian side must take preventive measures to prevent this from happening.

As it was reported on November 8, Belarusian journalists have published a video of a large crowd of migrants heading to the Polish border. It is noted that, according to preliminary estimates, several hundred refugees were heading for the border. Among the migrants were children.

In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Poland has increased the level of combat readiness of troops. Currently, more than 12,000 soldiers are on duty at the border, they are in a state of combat readiness. At the same time, migrants claim that their ultimate goal is not Poland, but Germany.

On November 11, it was reported that 8,500 law enforcers will guard the border of Ukraine.
