The head of State Border Guard Service Serhiy Deineko said the Ukrainian Sea Guard has an action plan in case of an open military advance of Russian Federation. He said this on the international conference on the development of Ukrainian Sea Guard of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as Interfax-Ukraine agency reported.
“Of course, the plan exists, but I cannot announce it publicly. I will say this: Ukrainian Sea Guard will act in all possible way. If our sea border has to be protected with life, our border guards will do it,” Deineko said.
According to him, During the Russian aggression, 70 border guards died while protecting state borders.
As it was reported, Ukrainian seaports in the Sea of Azov have lost around 232,7 million dollars of income because of the Russian aggression since 2014. According to Rayvis Vetskahans, Ukrainian ports in Azov demand complex support on state and international levels.
Earlier, on July 8, Russian small anti-submarine warfare vessel Yeysk entered Azov Sea.
