Ukraine’s Education and Science Ministry said it did not have the right to forbid Ukrainian schoolchildren to visit the country-aggressor. This was stated by the deputy minister Pavlo Khobzey, reports Ukrainian Truth.
“Now there are holidays and teachers are on a vacation. When these trips take place - we learned about one and hope that there are no others - we cannot say that Ukrainian citizens do not visit Russia. The border is not closed, and we cannot and don’t have the right to forbid such trips because it is out of boundaries of educational system, this happens in agreement with the parents, and parents make the decision,” he explained.
According to Khobzey, the ministry addressed this issue to the Security Service for legal assessment.
Education Ministry identified the teacher who took children to Russia.
“It’s a teacher of Russia language in one of Kyiv schools for a long time,” he said.
According to the official, the school's authorities cannot say "anything bad about her", they call her a good teacher who "honestly fulfils her duties."
Khobzey said that the ministry was trying to contact a teacher, but could not do it.
"Perhaps she is now with the children (in Russia). When they return, we will try to find out everything," he said.
As it was reporte earlier Ukraine’s Education and Science Ministry reports cyber-attack on their website. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine addressed the Department of Cyber Police of Ukraine on the issue.
