Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) completely stops international railway transportation on the night of March 17. The Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy wrote about this on his Facebook page.

He clarified that the running of trains stops from March 17 (on the night of 16 to 17) until the end of the quarantine period caused by the outbreak of coronavirus, or until the adoption of relevant government decrees.

"According to the decision of the government, international railway freight traffic continues. Ukrzaliznytsia constantly takes measures to prevent the entry and spread of a new coronavirus in Ukraine. In particular, regular wet cleaning and disinfection of station premises, passenger cars along the route and at traffic points is carried out, Krykliy wrote.

According to the minister, an additional disinfection is carried out every hour in places with the highest concentration of passengers. In addition, rooms for temporary isolation of patients with signs of infection are being equipped at the stations.

We recall, on March 11, the government decided to introduce quarantine in Ukraine to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country, and forbade students from attending schools and holding public events.
 

As we reported before, as of the morning of March 15, only three cases of Covid-19 infection were recorded in Ukraine, another 12 reports of suspected infection are under investigation. The press service of the Ministry of Health report

"As of the morning of March 15, three laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 were registered in Ukraine: in the Chernivtsi region - two cases and in the Zhytomyr region - one (lethal). In total, from the beginning of 2020, 79 reports of suspected Covid- 19 (3 ​​cases confirmed by laboratory, 64 - negative, no coronavirus, 12 - investigated)," - the report said.
