A large Ukrainian telecommunications service provider Volia blocked access to Russian web sites that are under sanctions in the occupied Sevastopol. This was reported by Crimea.Realities agency.
Access to Russian VKontakte, Mail.Ru, Yandex and Odnoklassniki was denied in the morning on May 31.
The Sevastopol news portal ForPost writes that when one tries to access prohibited sites, the message appears, saying “Access to this resource is blocked in accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine No. 133/2017 “On imposing personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).”
This restriction in Odnoklassniki and VKontakte can, however, be avoided by using anonymous regime.
Earlier it was reported that sanctions against Russian sites introduced for political censorship, according to InAU. The Internet Association wishes to see Ukraine in the area of network technologies development next to democratic countries.
