Ukraine’s Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova stated that Ukrainian citizens undertake violent treatment in occupied Donbas and Crimea during the 40th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
“The situation with some of our citizens is critical, it demands immediate interference of the European and international community. Pavlo Gryb and Edem Bekirov are in the bad health condition. Three injured Ukrainian sailors Andriy Artemenko, Andriy Eyder and Vasyl Soroka need qualified medical treatment,” Denisova stated.
Besides, 69 political prisoners and 24 POWs sustain violent treatment while being kept in Russia and annexed Crimea.
The sentence of most of these citizens has expired, but they are not released; instead, they are used as slave labour.
