Ukrainian people's deputy beaten in Kyiv

Yuriy Levchenko, people’s deputy, member of Svoboda, was beaten in Kyiv. Svyatoslav Kutniak, Kyiv Council deputy, wrote this on his Facebook page.

According to him, they were trying to “impede an illegal construction”. Kutniak noted, that Levchenko was “beaten senseless”, he probably “got a burn” from a pepper spray.

Later, press-office of the National Police reported that Levchenko threw Molotov cocktail trying to prevent utility services from demolishing illegal garages in Shevchenkivskyi district in Kyiv.

One of Kyiv public utilities were dismantling illegal garages in one of cooperatives. Yuriy Levchenko and Sviatoslav Kutniak came there and tried to throw Molotov cocktail. As a result, a fight started, but it was stopped by the law enforcers.

“The deputies left the incident site after. They did not appeal to the police with allegations of beating. There were no notifications from the doctors,” the representatives of the National Police informed.

The investigation team is questioning witnesses now. The police seized the fiery bottle.
