The Ukrainian National Pavilion has opened as part of the 74th Cannes International Film Festival, which will last until July 17.
According to the Ukrainian State Film Agency, the pavilion of Ukraine, located near the main Palais des Festivals, presents information about the participants, achievements of the Ukrainian film market, professional opportunities for film production and the benefits of co-production with Ukrainian partners. The first meetings have already taken place such as the negotiations on the organization of joint industrial events with the German festival Mannheim Meeting Place.
It is noted that the Ukrainian pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival is working for the 15th year in a row.
This year, Ukraine will show Elie Grappe's film 'Olga' (2021) in Cannes - it was selected for the Critics week competition program, and Serhiy Loznytsia's documentary ‘Babi Yar. Context' (2021) in the Special Screenings program.
