The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted bill #5559, which enables the Ukrainian to hold money transfers for not more than 5,000 hryvnias ($187.15) without financial monitoring. 315 MPs supported the bill.

“The financial monitoring as of today does not spread on the transfers with the sum of 4,999 hryvnias, while the transfer with one more hryvnia, 5,000 hryvnias, is should be monitored. The mentioned fact leads to the inconvenience of users of payment self-service terminals where it is impossible to correct the sum up to 4,999 hryvnias and they are deprived of the possibility to transfer money in the sum of 5,000 hryvnias,” the document says.
The adopted bill eliminates this inconvenience. From now on, the money transfers up to 5,000 hryvnias including will not be subject to obligatory primary financial monitoring.
As we reported, the State Tax Service of Ukraine began accepting reports from financial agents on identified accounts reportable to the United States.
