Ukrainian Parliament endorsed bill on 2022 state budget in first reading

The Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament has upheld the draft bill for the 2022 state budget, which included the offers of MPs. 273 lawmakers voted for the document during the plenary session on Tuesday.

According to the draft bill of the 2022 state budget, the incomes are supposed to make 38 billion dollars. Most of the funds will be kept in the general fund; some 5 billion USD will be kept in the special fund.

The revenues are supposed to make roughly 38 billion dollars. The budget deficit is supposed to make 3.5 percent GDP. 

The monthly minimum wage will make 91 dollars since January 1; 95 dollars since July 1, and 98 dollars since December 1.

According to the changes supported by the Offers Committee, the MPs offer to assign USD 38 million to combat the Covid-19 epidemic. USD 83 million will cover the needs of airport infrastructure development. 

7.3 billion dollars will be assigned for the needs of medicine. The minimal salary for medics is supposed to make 760 dollars.

Some 7 billion dollars will be assigned for education.

The State Fund for Regional Development will re-assign roughly 228 million dollars for the needs of social and economic development. A work group will be created among the MPs to distribute these costs. 

102 million dollars will be taken from the Economy Ministry to develop and implement state investment projects.

The draft budget for 2022 was registered in the Ukrainian Parliament on September 15.
