Ukrainian oligarchs such as Rinat Akhmetov, Viktor Pinchuk, Ihor Kolomoysky, Arseniy Yatsenyuk and others continue to trade with Russia. He underlined that official Kyiv randomly applies sanctions against politicians and businessmen who trade with Russia because it allocates funds for the purchase of goods from the neighboring country, allows business figure confidant to authorities to purchase in Russia the necessary products.

“It is important if we talk about the case of Medvedchuk that the state itself, when the issue is about the nuclear fuel, the state of Ukraine that labeled Russia from 2018 as the aggressor, pays us money. Citizens confidant to authorities – Yatsenyuk, Pinchuk, Firtash, Akhmetov, Kolomoysky – pay for products produced in Russia costing $6.7 billion…It is not a secret and we openly state that we provide humanitarian support to Donbas at the cost of this money. If we follow this logic, all people who purchased in Russia goods or services should sit with Viktor V. Medvedchuk,” Kozak noted.
