Earlier, Kolomoysky stated he would return to Ukraine before the inauguration of the President-elect if current President Petro Poroshenko apologizes for the nationalization of PrivatBank.
Kolomoysky left Ukraine in June 2017 and lived in Geneva. Since September 2018, he has been living in Herzliya, Israel.
