Deputy Chairman of Ukraine’s Agency of water resources was detained red-handed while receiving bribe amounting $8000, as the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Larysa Sarhan reported on Facebook.
“The prosecutors of the Prosecutor General Office, Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and operational staff of the Security Service detained the Chairman of Ukraine’s Agency of water resources red-handed while he was getting a bribe,” Sarhan wrote.
The corrupt official demanded improper advantage amounting $8000 from the representative of a legal entity for signing of the contract for implementation of a biological amelioration of Bucha water reserve located in Gorenichi, Kyiv region.
The investigation along with searches and preparation of an appeal concerning the restrictive measure for the culprit is underway.
Sarhan has not specified who was arrested, yet one could see Pavlo Gvozdenko, the Deputy Chairman of Ukraine’s Agency of water resources, on the photo.
