Yurii Stets, Ukrainian Minister of Information Policy, has resigned, department’s press service informed.
Today, May 31, Yurii Stets, tendered his resignation to Andriy Parubiy, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"The Minister had a conversation with the leadership of the state and members of the Government, to whom he reported his decision. The reason for resignation is the deterioration of health. There are no political or other motives", said the State Secretary of MIP of Ukraine Artem Bidenko.
He also added that Yurii Stets is now in hospital. Press service also informed he was there last week.
The functions of the Acting Minister of information policy at the time of the Minister's stay in the hospital are imposed on the Deputy Minister Emine Dzhaparova.
Yurii Stets held the minister post from December 2, 2014, being the member of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine from December 15, 2014.
