Despite the spread of the Russian propaganda, which aims for intimidation and division within the army, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not kneel before the enemy of the state. Viktor Muzhenko, the Chief of Army's General Staff said that as quoted by the East Operative Command on Facebook.
'Lately, there have been many dubious statements and threats made by politicians and a number of profanes about the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian propagandist cliches are used, aiming to intimidate and drive a wedge within the army. That is, they cynically dishonor the role of the Army in keeping Ukraine an integer state, which is the greatest threat to the national security', he said.
He admitted that the army is one of the key factors of the state's integrity.
'I will always stand by the Army as the key factor of the stability of the state, urging politicians and the society to respect the dignity of every serviceman - soldier or general. We serve the Ukrainian nation, and we will not be kneeling before the aggressors and the enemies of Ukraine. It's a basis of combat spirit of the Armed Forces', Muzhenko said.
