Ukrainian military dies from Covid-19 in Congo during UN mission

A Ukrainian military man, who served at UN mission, died from the coronavirus in Congo, as the Medical Forces of Ukraine reported.

The military got infected on November 7 and he got the positive test for coronavirus on November 14. Firstly, he had mild disease and stayed in the isolation.

Two days after the positive result for Covid-19, his state of health deteriorated and the military was sent to the UN hospital of the III level for treatment.

“Further, he was transferred to the anesthesiology and intensive care unit of the UN hospital of IV level (Nairobi, Kenya). On November 22, 2020, the state of health of the patient has deteriorated sharply, the intensive care was provided,” the message said.

However, the intensive care did not provide a positive result and the military died.

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 10,945 new cases of coronavirus all over the country. 4,143 people recovered, and 124 passed away during this period. 635,689 people got sick in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic.
