The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided not to extend the weekend quarantine. Now the country will have an "orange" epidemic danger zone. The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting.
"Both on weekends and weekdays, quarantine restrictions of the "orange" zone will be in effect throughout the country," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal said.
Due to a sharp increase in the number of Covid-19 patients in Ukraine, the government is considering various options for further quarantine, one of which is a total lockdown. At the same time, despite strict quarantine restrictions, critical infrastructure facilities wil be able to continue thier work.
As we reported earlier, the leader of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party David Arakhamia stated that the chances of introducing the lockdown in Ukraine currently make about 90 percent.
It was also reported that a lockdown could be introduced from December 23 to January 15.
However, Ukraine's Health Minister Maksym Stepanov proposes to introduce a three-week lockdown in Ukraine from January 2, 2021.
