The full-length film of Maryna Stepanska ‘Headlong’ that was created with the support of the State Agency of Ukraine on Cinema was picked for the participation in the main competition of the Stockholm International Film Festival as the press service of the State Cinema reported.
Four showcases of the film are planned within the film festival. The first one will take place on November 12.
‘Headlong’ will compete for a grand prize ‘Bronze horse’ of the Stockholm International Film Festival along with 17 films from different countries of the world ‘, the message said.
Moreover, the film will take part in the program of the European festival that focused on the camera skills – Camerimage International Film Festival on November 11-18.
The international film festival in Stockholm annually takes place at the second half of November in the capital of Sweden since 1990. The grand prize of the festival is ‘Bronze horse’ that is awarded to the best film after the voting of the jury.
Ukrainian film ‘Headlong’ is a psychological drama and a debut of Maryna Stepanska. The film took part in the main competition of the 52nd film festival in Karlovy Vary and national program of the 8th Odesa International Film Festival.
The film also was a nominee in the selection of the films from Ukraine for ‘Oscar’ Academy Award as the ‘The Best Film on Foreign Language’.
