“Unfortunately, we have already recorded the first case of a diplomat’s disease in one of the countries of the world. Foreign diplomatic missions temporarily switch to a remote mode of operation in order to maintain a capable network of assistance to Ukrainians around the world,” the minister said.
Kuleba did not specify in which country the diplomat was infected.
As reported, on March 13 Ukraine recorded the first death of a person infected with a coronavirus. The deceased is a 71-year-old woman from Radomyshl, Zhytomyr region, who went to the doctors too late and had complications in the form of pneumonia.
Now two more cases of coronavirus infection are officially confirmed in Ukraine.
"On March 17, 2020, from 00:00 and over the next two weeks, the border crossing points of Ukraine will be closed for aviation, rail and bus traffic. For citizens of Ukraine traveling by their own transport, the border crossing points are open," the message said.
The National Security and Defense Council addresses all citizens of Ukraine with a request to return before March 17, 2020. In case of emergency, delivery of Ukrainian citizens by special flights will be arranged.
