The biometric passport control will start to work since January 1, 2018, at 157 international and inter-state checkpoints as Oleh Slobodian, the assistant of the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported at Facebook.
It will be implemented for the citizens of 71 countries.
‘The biometric control will start to work for foreigners from 71 countries that can carry the threat for the Ukrainians or the national security of Ukraine at 157 main international and inter-state checkpoints’, he wrote.
The State Border Guard Service also showed the procedure of the biometric passport control at the airports and the railway stations.
As we reported earlier the biometric control on Ukraine-Russia state border started working on December 27.
Earlier, the NSDC approved the implementation of the biometric control for the foreigners at the state border since January 1, 2018.
