Ukrainian Armed Forces carry out trainings on capturing of vessels in open sea

Boarding groups 73 of the maritime center of a special purpose of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Command are training capturing of ships in the open sea. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

According to the report, the groups were withdrawn by air from various heights by the Kanat system and by water on high-speed boats during the training of capturing of the vessel.

“The hypothetical enemy was seized and destroyed in the prisons and on the deck under close combat conditions,” the report added.

"In the holds and on the deck, a conditional enemy was detained and destroyed in the conditions of close combat," the General Staff added.

As we reported earlier, Canada extended the UNIFER, the Canadian Armed Forces military training mission in Ukraine, till the end of March 2022.

Operation UNIFIER supports Ukraine’s broader reform agenda and contributes to current Canadian efforts that invest in democracy, human rights, and the rule of law in Ukraine.
