Ukraine’s Security Service to counteract Russia’s interference in elections through messengers

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) will counteract the interference of the Russian special services in the election process through the messengers as UNN reported citing SBU.

“The Security Service of Ukraine within its competence holds the events on the counteraction the attempts of the Russian special services to interfere in the election processes in Ukraine. In the case of the receiving of the information about particular facts of the use of the communication possibilities of the socially oriented and free resources of the internet, including the applications for exchange of the messages, which aim for the defense of the information security of our state,” the message said.

Earlier we reported that Russia intends to involve all present arsenal, including the cyber means, to influence the upcoming elections in Ukraine.

Besides, it was reported that the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summarized the events from the beginning of the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine to the fifth anniversary of the aggression. The Ministry outlined that the consequences of the criminal deeds by the Kremlin authorities are unprecedented for post-war Europe.
