Ukraine’s Security Service received reliable data about the results of the “elections” on the occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which militants intend to hold on November 11, as Vasyl Hrytsak, the Head of SBU, said at the briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
“Russia is imitating the process of free expression of will in ORDLO (occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, - ed.). Actually, as it was in 2014, in 2018 all the winners are already defined and victory figures are already set in Russia. I will tell you a little secret, this is operational data, I think that this will mix the cards for those on the occupied territories, who are directing the so-called elections. According to the information we have, Pushylin has 65% of votes in “DNR” (Donetsk People’s Republic), Pasichnyk – 63% in “LNR” (Luhansk People’s Republic, -ed.). Voter turnout is to make 70%,” Hrytsak said.
Denis Pushylin and Leonid Pasichnyk hold the posts of “acting heads” of Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic respectively. Pushylin was appointed after Zakharchenko’s death, Pasichnyk – after the “coup” in Luhansk People’s Republic, after Igor Plotnitsky’s escape.
As it was reported, the militants scheduled the so-called elections in occupied Donbas on Sunday, on November 11. The “heads of the republics” and “the people’s deputies” are to be elected. Ukraine and the international community have already condemned such “elections”. The representatives of the Kremlin stated that they decide on recognition or non-recognition after the final results. The President of Ukraine expects new anti-Russian sanctions due to the “voting” it organized in occupied Donbas.
The Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council Oleksandr Turchynov stated that all the organizers and the participants of the “elections” on November 11 would be defined and prosecuted in compliance with the Ukrainian legislation.
