In 2018, the counterintelligence department of Ukraine’s Security Service revealed 71 people involved in the intelligence-sabotage activities of the foreign special services in Ukraine, as SBU reported on Facebook.
“Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) revealed 71 people who were involved in the intelligence-sabotage activities of the foreign special services. SBU investigators opened 114 criminal proceedings under the article No.111 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (state treason),” the message says.
In particular, it was reported that on January 4, the SBU detained a machine gunner owho served with the militants of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” in the Joint Forces Operation zone.
Earlier, the EU added to the sanctions list nine people involved in the organization of the “elections” in the occupied Donbas.
