The officers of the Chief Department of the Counter-Intelligence Defense of State’s Interests in the sphere of economic security along with the Chief Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) exposed the fact of supplies of the materials used for the construction of Kerch Strait Bridge to the Russian Federation as the press service of the SBU reported.
The operatives got to know that the management of one of the Ukrainian enterprises on the extraction of the rubble established the supplies to Russia.
It is established that without necessary documents, the rubber was extracted at the open pits owned by a citizen of Russia and sold to the Russian company, the subsidiary of “Mostozhelezobetonkonstruktsiya” through the mediators.
Also, it was established that the mentioned community on the purchase of the production of the Ukrainian suppliers carried the works on the construction of the so-called “Crimean Bridge”.
Generally, 25 supplies of the rubble to Russia with the total mass 28,000 tons took place.
The investigation considers the actions of the businessmen as the support of the occupation administration of Russia at the peninsula and due to this, the criminal proceeding is opened as well as the searches were held at the cabinets of the administration of the open pits and place of residence of the director of the enterprise.
“The SBU officers found and confiscated the agreements, contracts, customs declarations that prove the financial and economic transactions with the Russian structures working in annexed Crimea,” the message said.
The investigative actions for the establishment of the involved persons in the crime continue.
As it was reported earlier, President of Russia Vladimir Putin has opened a vehicle part of the bridge over the Kerch Strait that unites annexed Crimea and Krasnodar Krai. Putin at the wheel of Kamaz headed the convoy of the vehicles and cargo equipment that made the first trip over the bridge. The automobile traffic over the bridge was opened prematurely at 5:30 am, on May 16 (Moscow time).
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko ordered to sue Russia for the ecological damage brought by the construction of the bridge over Kerch strait in occupied Crimea.
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch expressed confidence that the ongoing construction of the bridge over Kerch Strait could vastly interfere with Ukraine’s transport connection with international markets.
