Ukraine's Security Service cancels entry ban for Austrian reporter Wehrschütz

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) canceled the entry ban for the Austrian journalist Christian Wehrschütz, as he himself reported on Facebook.

“Ban on entering Ukraine lifted! Thanks to all official and not official supporters,” he wrote.

He attached the picture of the document to his post. SBU Press Secretary Olena Hitlyanska signed the document, which says that “the ban was repealed due to the fact that the consequences which led to the ban disappeared”.

Earlier, Austrian journalist Christian Wehrschütz has filed the lawsuit to the District Administrative Court of Kyiv due to the decision of the Security Service of Ukraine to ban him from visiting Ukraine for a year.

As we reported, Austrian journalist Christian Wehrschütz was banned from entering Ukraine for one year due to his work for Kremlin press.

The authorities of Austria have sharply criticized the decision of Ukraine to ban the journalist from the entry to the state. Moreover, Olexandr Shcherba, the Ukrainian ambassador was summoned to the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
