Ukraine's Security Service blocks 360 cyber incidents in 2018

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) revealed and blocked 360 cyber incidents in 2018, as the press office of the establishment reported on Facebook.

Administrators of the social media were involved in some of the crimes. They were assisting the anti-Ukrainian propaganda. As a result, 49 administrators of the social media were brought to justice.

29 people who were involved in the cyber incidents were served with charge papers. The court received the investigation materials. 20 sentences came into force.

As it was reported, Ukraine’s Security Service prevented 28 terrorist acts within counterintelligence operation in Ukraine in 2016-2017, including eight in 2018.

In January-June 2018, the Security Service put 60 people on the wanted list, they were suspected in committing terrorist acts.
