Ukrainian runaway oligarch Serhiy Kurchenko carries out export supplies of coal from the occupied Donbas to Turkey through the port in Rostov-on-Don. This was reported by the Economic Truth agency with the reference to the documents provided by the source in the market.
In particular, the founder of ‘SEPEK’ group Kurchenko, began delivering coal from the Donbas back in April this year.
According to the source, the supplies became systemic in May-June: now 5-6 ships are unloaded in Turkey every month, each of which carries up to 20 thousand tons of coal.
A number of companies are engaged in operations with coal on behalf of Kurchenko. The coal is mined in the occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Usually ‘Petroleum Capital’ ltd carries out the operations. This company was registered in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
According to the agency, the export of anthracite coal from the occupied territory of Ukraine is carried out through the railway communication ‘Kvashyne (Ukraine) – Uspenskaya’ (Russia). Then, station the coal is delivered from ‘Uspenskaya’ station by rail to the junction station ‘Kiziterinka-export’, from which cargo is delivered to the port of Rostov-on-Don.
The chain of trade of Ukrainian anthracite can be traced by one of the deliveries, conducted under the consignment note № 0000983.
The accompanying documents to this party indicate that anthracite is supplied in transit mode through the territory of Russia, and the country of origin of coal is unknown.
After delivery of coal to the port of Rostov-on-Don, it was loaded to the ship ‘Mega’.
Then the anthracite was delivered by sea to the port of Mersin (Turkey).
According to the analysis of quality characteristics of coal in the port of Rostov conducted before loading on the ship ‘Mega’ showed that sulfur content in it is 2%, which corresponds to the level of sulfur in anthracite coal from Ukraine and which exceeds the maximum level (1.5%) of it in Russian coal.
