The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine plans to finish the investigation of the murder of Denis Voronenkov, the former MP of Russia's State Duma in the beginning of May as Ukrainian News reported citing the source.
'We are already forming the material for the completion. We are waiting for the responses to the requests. We are waiting when the courts will disclose the appeals. Only the technical work remains. At the beginning of the may we will announce about the finish of the investigation', he said.
The source noted that in summer the case will be passed to the court.
As it was reported earlier, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko announced the results of the investigation of Voronenkov’s murder. According to the prosecution, Vladislav Tyurin is a crime boss with the FSB connections, who commissioned the murder as he had personal reasons: his former partner Maria Maksakova became Voronenkov’s wife.
The former MP of the Russian State Duma Denis Voronenkov was shot in the downtown of Kyiv on March 23 at the intersection of Pushkinska and Shevchenko streets near the hotel ‘Premier Palace’. The body guard of the former MP injured the attacker. The medical workers tried to save the life of the shooter but he died in the hospital.
The shooter is the citizen of Ukraine, born in 1988 Pavlo Parshov. He was born in Sevastopol and was enlisted by the Russian special services and had the aim to infiltrate the Armed Forces of Ukraine or National Guard.
The Holosiivo District Court of Kyiv extended the pre-trial restriction in terms of detention for 36-years old citizen of Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk Region Yaroslav Tarasenko on August 10. He was detained on suspicion of implication in the murder of Voronenkov. He is accused of intentional homicide committed by the previous concert, group of persons and provided by the part two, article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
