Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine summons oligarch Viktor Pinchuk for questioning on August 27 for holding of the legal proceedings within the criminal proceeding opened on August 19, 2016, as the prosecutor’s office reported.
He should come on August 27, at 11:00 a.m. to the Special Investigations Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, the summoning of Pinchuk tied with the investigation of the case of the so-called “black accountancy” of Party of Regions.
Earlier Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko stated that “black accountancy” of Party of Regions does not contain the signature of Paul Manafort, the American political consultant convicted for bank fraud. MP Yevhen Geller put his sign in front of Manafort’s name.
As it was reported, President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort has been found guilty on eight counts of financial crimes. After a 16-day trial, Manafort was found guilty of five tax fraud charges, one charge of hiding foreign bank accounts, and two counts of bank fraud. The jury was unable to reach a verdict on the remaining 10 counts, and the judge declared a mistrial on those charges.
Later, Manafort was sentenced to 7,5 years imprisonment, as a result of court hearings on his case.
