Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman signed a decree on re-organization of the State Fiscal Service through its division into State Tax Service and State Customs Service, as the press office of the Finance Ministry reported.
“To renew the central executive power body institutionally, structurally and functionally, the Government adopted the decree “On creation of Ukraine’s State Tax Service and Ukraine’s State Customs Service”, the document says.
The regulation provides that the tax and customs service will exist separately, and the Cabinet of Ministers will send and coordinate their activity through the Finance Ministry. Both services are successors of the re-organized State Fiscal Service.
The representatives of the Finance Service maintain that such division would be an important step towards creation of qualitative system of administration of taxes and fees.
The document says that the Finance Ministry will develop draft regulations on new services in two months and will introduce drafts of the necessary amendments in the legislation in three months.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Government adopted a decree on creation of State Tax and Customs Service on December 18, 2018.
