The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appealed to the Parliament urging to immediately consider the bill on amendments of the Constitution on the consolidation of the course of EU and NATO integration, as he wrote on Facebook.

“The Constitutional Court gave the green light for introduction of amendments to the Ukrainian Constitution on the European and Euro-Atlantic integration. I am convinced that Ukraine is moving to the EU and NATO inconvertibly. I ask the Parliament to consider this question immediately,” the message says.

Earlier, the Parliament sent the bill on amendments to the Constitution concerning the EU, NATO integration plan with 321 votes on September 20, 2018.

According to the bill, the President of Ukraine is the guarantor of the implementation of strategic course of the state towards Ukraine’s full membership in the EU and NATO. In its turn, the Cabinet of Ministers provides the implementation of the strategic course of the state towards Ukraine’s full membership in the EU and NATO.
