Ukraine’s PM holds meeting with IMF representatives

According to the PM, Ukraine progresses in the fulfillment of its commitments

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal held a meeting with the representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as he reported on Telegram.

Shmygal noted that Ukraine succeeded to progress in the fulfillment of its commitments.

“We quickly move closer positions with the IMF. We held a productive meeting with our international partners from the Fund. Ukraine succeeded to progress in the fulfillment of its commitments. Many thanks to Alfred Kammer and the IMF for a dialogue. Steady partnership relations with the IMF – is a key for the long-term stability of Ukraine,” the PM wrote.

As we reported, the Cabinet of Ministers established an interagency working group to coordinate the negotiation process with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Besides, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev predicts that Ukraine will receive the second tranche from the IMF in December 2020.
