The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the bill #2143-3 “On Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine” as 112 Ukraine reported.

The draft law provides the renewal of the district council in the capital as the representative bodies of the citizens of Kyiv districts.

Besides, it is offered to shared jurisdiction and separate the position of Kyiv City Head and Chairman of City State Administration.

It is supposed that Kyiv Mayor will head Kyiv Magistrate, the executive body of Kyiv City Council and serve as chairman at the session of Kyiv City Council.

The Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration will be provided with the right to monitor the соблюдением of Constitution and laws of Ukraine by bodies of local self-government and coordinate the activity of the territorial bodies of the central bodies of executive power.

The Main scientific expert department provided the number of comments to the bill.

Earlier he Cabinet of Ministers approved the dismissal of Vitaly Klitschko, the Head of Kyiv City State Administration and sent the submission of the government to the sign of President Zelensky.

In his turn, Klitschko stated he finds the decision on his dismissal to be illegal and only Kyiv citizens might dismiss him.
