Andriy Parubiy, Parliament’s Spokesperson, said that tomorrow Verkhovna Rada will adopt a law, which provides the representatives of the State Security Administration inspect people’s deputies for arms or explosive devices. He stated this at the briefing after the session of the Coordination Board, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
Under this bill individuals with cold or firearms, explosive devices, various ammunition, inflammable liquids, pyrotechnical devices, poisonous and superpotent substances are not allowed to enter the buildings where Verkhovna Rada, the President and the Cabinet of Ministers work. The law does not concern the state security guards.
Besides, military servicemen of the State Security Administration have a right to block access into these buildings for people with weapon or other devices, which pose danger.
When being asked whether the bill works for people’s deputies, Parubiy responded:
“What is the core of this bull? The idea is that only officers of the State Security Administration may carry weapons in the buildings of the Verkhovna Rada and government authorities, which are under the state security. The bill provides for people’s deputy or civilian regardless of their status do not have a right to enter the building of government authorities with firearms, explosive devices and other things, which pose danger for people,” Andriy Parubiy explained.
He claimed, that the Parliament will soon adopt the bill.
“I think the law will be adopted soon. I think that it will be signed by the President soon. I think, that the law will be published in Golos Ukrainy quite soon. I do not think, I am sure that this will happen really soon, tomorrow. That is the way we can provide security for the building and everyone present here. I am concerned, that since Wednesday, after the morning session, when everyone, who enters Verkhovna Rada building will be asked to leave weapon and other hazardous substances. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to enter the building,” the Spokesperson said.
Earlier, Savcheko is suspected of preparation of terrorist attacks in Verkhovna Rada session room. According to Yuriy Lutsenko the prosecution possesses evidence that she was going to disrupt two boxes with a grenade, and murder those who would survive with an assault rifle.
It should be mentioned that Volodymyr Ruban is also suspected of terrorist attacks preparations in Kyiv downtown, in Verkhovna Rada in particular. Kyiv District Court arrested Ruban for 60 days without a right to the bail. Later, people’s deputy Savchenko stated, that she was ready to bail him out.
