The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not vote for the appointment of Serhiy Marchenko as the Finance Minister of Ukraine and Maksym Stepanov as the Healthcare Minister of Ukraine.
The insufficient number of MPs voted for proper regulations #3282 and #3284.
Thus, two departments, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine are left without heads amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
On March 4, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed the government of Oleksiy Honcharuk and approved the new composition of Denys Shmygal’s Cabinet of Ministers. Yemets was appointed as Healthcare Minister on that day. Besides, Umansky joined this line-up as the Finance Minister.
Besides, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted bill #3275 on the provision of extra social and economical guarantees due to the spread of coronavirus. 312 MPs supported the decision.
