“This case should not remain unpunished. Yesterday, we have been discussing the creation of the Temporary Investigation Committee, which could be uniting for the whole parliament, within several hours so that we could present it for the consideration at the Verkhovna Rada. We are still conducting some consultations, but I am sure that we have to make a decision today – summon the representatives of the law enforcement agencies to the parliament immediately to hear their report on the current situation,” Parubiy, the Spokesperson of the Parliament, said.
As it was reported, on November 4, Kateryna Handziuk, Kherson Mayor Advisor, died at the age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. Preliminary, she died because of a blood clot detachment.
Later, President Petro Poroshenko confirmed this information, he expressed condolences on the death of the official. He also demanded the law enforcers to do everything possible to punish the murderers.
The police promised that they would give a legal qualification after the conclusions of the expert examinations concerning the cause of death.
367 people were questioned on Handziuk’s case. Police expect that the detained perpetrators will give additional information about the instigators of the crime.
