The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading the bill No. 4672 on compensation in connection with the increased price of electric energy. 310 MPs supported the decision.
The parliamentary session was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
Сompensations will be provided for such categories of consumers:
- people residing in living houses (hotel-type living houses, flats and dormitories) in both urban and rural landscape, where electric heating is set;
- people who live in apartment buildings, where there are no certal heating systems (or such systems are out of use);
- large families, foster families, family-type orphanages.
For this, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine will be provided with 56 million dollars.
As we reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted regulation #4650 that recommends the Cabinet of Ministers to return the reduced tariff for the first 100 kW of electricity. 337 MPs supported this decision .
The issue is about the return of the concessionary norm, according to which, the consumers of the electricity paid for the first 100 kW of electricity 90 kopiyka per month ($0.032) and each next kW costs 1.68 hryvnias ($0.060).
“To order the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to urgently amend the fixed prices for the electricity for domestic consumers…in establishing of the tariff for electricity for the population (including people who live in houses equipped with kitchen electric cookers), (including the countryside) for the volume consumed up to 100 kW per hour of the electricity per month (inclusive) in the sum of $0.032 for a kW per hour (with value-added tax),” the regulation said.
