The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine agreed on main items of expenditure of the renewed state budget, as the Cabinet of Ministers reported citing Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal.
“The Verkhovna Rada agreed on the main items of expenditure of the renewed State budget. Until the end of the workweek we will communicate with the specialized committee. The next week, we expect the MPs to vote for the amendments to the State budget,” Shmygal said.
Besides, the PM told about steps made by the government in the counteraction coronavirus disease. Particularly, toward the support of the medical workers, vulnerable social groups, people who lost jobs and medium businesses.
On March 30, the Verkhovna Rada decided to revise the bill on the reduction of the state budget of Ukraine for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Parliamentarians voted for the decision.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he hopes that the MPs will vote for the bill № 3279 on changes to the state budget for 2020 in the next few days.
