The Verkhovna Rada has accepted the resignation of Oleksiy Honcharuk from the post of Prime Minister and his government. 353 MPs voted "for" the corresponding draft resolution No. 3158, as reported by 112 Ukraine.

Yesterday it became known that the Prime Minister wrote a letter of resignation. The relevant parliamentary committee of supported the decision to dismiss Honcharuk from his office. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed to replace him with Denys Shmyhal. The faction supported the proposal and voted in favor of Shmygal's candidacy.

As reported before, Dmytro Razumkov received a letter of resignation by current Ukraine's Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk. During the meeting of the ruling Servant of the People faction, which is still underway, the head of Ukraine's parliament Dmytro Razumkov said that the Prime Minister was asking for his dismissal from his post.

Besides, Oleksiy Honcharuk asked the District Administrative Court of Kyiv to forbid Dmytro Razumkov, the Parliamentary Speaker to consider his resignation letter.

Honcharuk's request also regards the opportunity to consider the resignation of any of the ministers during the session slated for March 4.
