Lyudmyla Denisova, Ukraine’s Commissioner for Human Rights, called the European Union ambassadors for supporting Ukraine in the intentions to release the Ukrainian political prisoners kept in Russia, as it is reported on the website of Ukraine’s Ombudsman.

At the meeting with the ambassadors, Denisova stressed that Russian Federation does not obligate the agreements made between the presidents, the international conventions and its own legislation.

“In its turn, Ukraine made all relevant steps. Considering the previous agreements, Petro Poroshenko committed himself to provide a permission of Moskalkova to come to Ukraine regardless the fact that she was banned from visiting the country,” the Ukrainian Ombudsman said.

Besides, Denisova drew the ambassadors’ attention to the situation of Oleg Sentsov.

“I would like to emphasize that the information about Sentsov that we receive is very controversial. I have some suspicion, that Oleg is being fed with an unknown mixture. This suspicion is confirmed by the fact – the letter that Mikhail Fedotov, Russia’s President Advisor. The letter says that since June 8, Oleg is being fed with some mixture. We do not know what it is, its components,” Denisova noted.
