“We make it clear that the Nord Stream 2 is first of all the security challenge, including the point of view of the energy security. Our position is firm. We discuss this issue with our partners, clearly prove our position on the prevention of the end of its further construction,” Sybiha said.
Sybiha also noted that things that did not start functioning cannot be considered as functioning.
“As of today, we assume attitude toward the fact that this stream should not be put into action. We insist, we confirm our position and proceed from it,” the Deputy Head added.
On June 11, the United States of America plans to pass some new decisions regarding Nord Stream 2, the Russian gas pipeline.
On June 4, President of Russia Vladimir Putin has stated that the laying of the first line of the Nord Stream 2 finished.
As we reported, the Biden administration will waive sanctions on Nord Stream 2 AG and its CEO Matthias Warnig who controls the construction of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline into Germany.
It is known that Germany does not intend to abandon Nord Stream 2 and considers it an economic project.
