Arsen Avakov has become the Minister of Internal Affairs in the newly-formed Cabinet of Ministers, headed by Oleksiy Goncharuk. Thus, Avakov remains in his office, which he has been holding since February 27, 2014.

Bio of Arsen Avakov
Born on January 2, 1964, in Baku (Azerbaijan).
In 1981-1982, he worked as a lecturer at the Department of Automated Control Systems of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. In 1988, he graduated from this institute with a systems engineer degree. In 1987-1990, worked as an engineer at the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Water Protection in Kharkiv.
- Deputy of the Kharkiv Regional Council, Kharkiv governor from 2005 to 2010;
- MP of Ukraine (2012–2014).
Member of the National Council on the interaction of public authorities and local authorities, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (2007-2008), the organizing committee of Euro 2012 (2007). Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. Honored Economist of Ukraine (2007).
