Zoryana Skaletska (Chernenko) became the Minister of Healthcare of Ukraine. She replaced Ulyana Suprun, who was an acting head of the ministry since August 2016.
Biography of Zoryana Skaletska
Zoryana Skaletska is an ex-wife of the MP of the 8th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Chernenko. She was a director of Social Council of Healthcare Ministry and Healthcare Reform Commission from 2011 to 2014. In 2010-2011, she headed Legal Department of the Council of Entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In 2011-2012 she also headed the NGO “Ukrainian League for the Development of Palliative and Hospice Care.”
Now Skaletska is a professor of legal regulation of healthcare and medical law in Healthcare School of National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. She is an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean of Legal Science Faculty. She chairs the board of the Ukrainian Medical Law Association and is a leading expert in the “Reanimation Package of Reforms” in medical reform issues.
Chernenko heads a Commission on Healthcare reform under Healthcare Ministry. She is a member of the World Association for Medical Law and director of the NGO “Health Forum.”
