Ukraine’s new Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk has introduced the head of the Ministry of Finance. Oksana Markarova, who has been holding this post in the government of Volodymyr Groysman, would continue to lead this ministry.

Bio of Oksana Markarova
Oksana Markarova was born on October 28, 1976 in Rivne (western Ukraine).
She obtained her first higher education at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, receiving a master’s degree in environmental sciences.
Then she studied at Indiana University in Bloomington (USA), where she received a master's degree in international public finance and trade.
In 1998 - 1999 and in 2001 - 2003, she has been holding the position of Economic Policy Advisor and External and Corporate Relations Manager at Western NIS Enterprise Fund.
In 2000, was an intern at the World Bank in the USA.
In 2015, Oksana Markarova moved to the public sector of the economy.
In March 2015 - April 2016, she has been holding the position of Deputy Minister-Head of Staff of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. In April 2016, she was appointed first deputy head of the Ministry of Finance in the new government.
In June 2018, after the dismissal of Oleksandr Danilyuk, she was appointed acting Minister of Finance.
In November 2018, she was approved as head of the Ministry of Finance.
