Anna Novosad became the new Minister of Education of Ukraine in the Cabinet of Ministers of Oleksiy Honcharuk. Novosad to replace Lilia Hrynevych, who has been heading the ministry since April 2016.
Here is what we know about the new minister.
Anna Novosad was born on July 28, 1990, in Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsa region.
In 2007, she graduated from the Ukrainian Humanitarian Lyceum of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
In 2011, she received a bachelor's degree in political science at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
In 2013, she received a master's degree in European studies from Maastricht University (Netherlands).
Anna Novosad is an Open Society Foundation scholar, as well as the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Program (CUPP) intern.
In 2012 – 2013, she was an intern at analytical centers of Spain and the Czech Republic.
Since March 2014 he has been working at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. She held the position of Advisor to then Minister Serhiy Kvit and headed the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Education and Science.
In 2017, she was appointed Director-General of the Directorate of Strategic Planning and European Integration.
