Naftogaz of Ukraine became the winner of the second tender for the supply of gas to Moldova, announced by the Moldovan state energy company Energocom. Director for Integrated Communications of NJSC Naftogaz Ukraine Maksym Beliavsky told reporters.
"Naftogaz of Ukraine took part in the natural gas procurement procedure carried out by the Moldovan company S.A. Energocom," Beliavsky said.
According to him, following the results of the tender, Naftogaz concluded with S.A. Energocom individual contract for the purchase and sale of natural gas. The volume of supplies is 128,525 MW, or approximately 12.125 million cubic meters of blue fuel.
Meanwhile, Moldova has signed a new long-term gas supply contract with Gazprom.
"Gazprom and Moldovagaz extended the contract on Russian gas supply to Moldovan consumers from November 1, 2021 for the term of five years on mutually beneficial conditions," Gazprom said.
The protocol on settlement of current issues in the gas sphere was signed on Friday in conclusion of ended negotiations.
