Hearing of the case against Boeing МН17 perpetrators in the Netherlands is an important step on the way to restore justice. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

“The legal basis for the implementation of this decision will be an agreement between Ukraine and the Netherlands on international legal cooperation related to shooting down the MH17 plane, which is scheduled to be signed on Friday. The agreement provides for practical aspects of jurisdiction transfer from Ukraine to the Netherlands, makes it possible for all the suspects to participate in the Dutch trial,” the message says.

Foreign ministry believes that the judicial process will be based on the existing results of the investigation of the Joint International Team, but this will not mean the termination of investigation.

"The JIT countries will continue to cooperate closely in bringing criminals to the responsibility, Joint Team states will also make efforts to attract the widest possible international support, including through the main bodies of the United Nations," the Office noted.

As it was reported earlier perpetrators of Boeing МН17 incident will be judged in the Netherlands. The decision does not mean that the offenders will be brought to trial in the near future.
